Final Exam Study Guide

1) First you click the SERVER DRIVE then you wait for the little screen to pop up okay it then got to my computer. When you get there go to the folder for Photo J and find your folder and open it.
2) We use blogger to post all the things we need like are assignments and to post the pictures we have shot.
3) All you need is an oatmeal can, Two pieces of black construction tape and black tape to cover the top side of the lid and bottom you also need to blackout the inside of the cans wall and floor. Once that's done you close it cut about an inch square out of the can and open it again and fill the hole with a thin layer of Foil then poke one hole through the foil, once that's done you can seal that foil strip off with a tape made flap. Once all these steps are done you have your pinhole camera.
4) There is light sensitive paper inside the actual can once the light enters the can for however many seconds it takes a pic. Once closed the light is trapped within the can and it really just dies out after its shut leaving an unseen picture on the light sensitive white paper.
5a) Rule Of Thirds -Imagine that your image is divided into nine equal segments by two vertical and two horizontal lines. Try to position the most important elements in your scene along these lines, or at the points where they intersect.
5b) Balancing Elements -Balance the 'weight' of your subject by including another object of lesser importance to fill the space.
5c) Leading Lines -When we look at a photo our eye is naturally drawn along lines.
5d) Symmetry And Patterns - A pattern of something man made or even naturally caused.
5e) Viewpoint -Consider photographing from high above, down at ground level, from the side, from the back, from a long way away, from very close up, and so on.
5f) Background -To have a simple background or something that is very vibrant in the back
5g) Creating Depth - The trick with creating depth is to have different levels or boundaries before your actual subject.
5h) Framing - Framing is caused by either man made or natural things out in the world that is framing your subject.
5i) Cropping is caused when a person shoots a picture and either takes something out or moves the subject completely to a new shot but without taking another picture.
5j) Merger And Avoiding - Avoiding merger can be done by just making sure there is nothing sticking out of your subject that doesn't belong there.
6) It really creates a mood that cant be explained also it lets you get poses and facial expressions that you couldn't normally get in a regular shot.
7) bringing an album of pictures can tell all sorts of story's because they have so much to think on and you kind of feel in the rest with your own thoughts.
8)Multiple Pictures or Slideshow
9. You use the 5 W's and 1 H in the first sentence and explain what your looking at in the photo in the second sentence.

11. In fashion photography theyre changing the image which is a bad thing to do because its not what really happened in the photo so its wrong to do it in regular photography too.

Theme Parks

1) I would like to visit the park in Greenland because it just looks very scary and at the same time it looks like some things are still in tact plus dangerous.
3) The U.T. Tower, Submarine, Old House, The Woods
5) Because it has a dangerous fill to it and not only that you could find a lot of styles you could bump into. Like leading lines and viewpoint.
6) Well my location wouldn't be hard to find because the U.T. tower is in the middle of the city, so I'm guessing just a drive and take my camera and get ready to shoot.

My First Print

1) The picture's on the wall are really in focus cause you can really read the posters so I'll go with that as my sharp focus.
A) Most of the things are in focus there are very few things that aren't i really cant tell.
B)None

2) To me there is really good contrast as the pic goes up into the light it makes a smooth transition from dark to light.

3) Yes it followed all the rules and the way I took the pic was really good cause I feel I got a real good shot of real work and honesty because they didn't know I took it. My subject was the class as a whole so it really filled the frame.

4) There are few spots and it was most likely caused because of the drying process when i had to wipe it down.

5) No

6) Yes Sir they are

Self Portraits

The reason i really like this pic is because i like that the subject actually looks like they are into something also it has a style of photography in it which is lines if you look in the background at the books. I would like to shoot a picture that has other qualities in it other than a good looking subject i want a unique picture as a whole.
Self Portrait- The one of the lady looking up is really nice because she made it seem like she was waiting on something, and i also like the way she used leading lines to draw my eyes to the subject and it also uses the rule of thirds.
